Wayans does a good job of poking fun at “gung-ho” military type guys who struggle to assimilate back into society after yrs in the military. However, he found a formula that worked in Major Payne. Much of that reason had to do w the writing. For whatever reason, the majority of his movies were, in a word, disappointing. That comedic gift was best displayed on In Living Color.
